1. Overview
ClipsConvert Audio ("we", "us" or "our") provides browser-based tools for editing, analysing, mixing and converting audio. You do not need to create an account to use the tools described on this website.
This policy explains what information may be processed, why it is used, and the choices available to you. The details may vary if the site operator changes the hosting setup or adds a third-party service.
2. Information we handle
The website does not ask you to provide a name or account to use the audio tools. Depending on how you use the website, the following information may be processed:
- Technical request information: the hosting server or infrastructure provider may log your IP address, request time, requested URL, referring page, browser or user-agent details, response status and related security diagnostics.
- Preferences: your selected light/dark theme and custom audio presets can be stored in your browser's local storage.
- Site resources: the progressive web app may store site pages, scripts, stylesheets and icons in the browser cache to support faster loading and offline access.
- Support messages: if you email us, we receive the address and the content you include in that message.
3. Your audio files and processing
Browser-based tools: audio decoding, effects previews, waveform and spectrogram creation, batch processing, multitrack mixing, microphone recording, audio visualizer rendering, and WAV export are designed to run in your browser. The selected audio remains on your device for these features and is not intentionally uploaded to our server by their normal processing workflow.
Optional MP3 conversion: MP3 export requires a server-side encoder. When you select MP3 export and check the consent box, the already-processed WAV output is sent to our server so it can be encoded and returned as an MP3. Do not select this option if you do not want to send that processed audio to the server.
The conversion endpoint is designed to use temporary processing files and delete its generated MP3 output after sending it. PHP and the hosting environment manage the incoming temporary upload. We do not offer an audio library or intentionally retain submitted audio as a user account. As with any online service, we cannot promise that every transient copy held by the operating system or hosting infrastructure is immediately erased in every failure scenario.
Please do not upload or process recordings containing information you are not authorised to use or disclose.
4. Local storage, cache and cookies
The current application uses browser local storage for preferences such as theme selection and custom presets. Its service worker may cache visited pages and site assets for offline use. This local browser storage is not an audio backup service; audio selected for normal browser processing is held by the page while you work.
The application code in this package does not require tracking cookies to operate. Your hosting provider, CDN or other infrastructure may use technical logs or cookies depending on the configuration used for the live website. You can remove browser storage and cached site data through your browser settings; clearing it may reset saved presets and offline availability.
5. Logs and service providers
Technical logs may be used to operate the service, diagnose errors, protect against abuse and investigate security incidents. Hosting, DNS, CDN and email providers may process technical information as needed to provide their services. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to the processing they perform.
The project package does not include a first-party analytics SDK or advertising pixel. If analytics, advertising, payment, CAPTCHA or other third-party integrations are added to the production website, this policy should be updated before those features are enabled, and any consent required by applicable law should be obtained.
We do not intentionally sell the audio files you process or use them to train an AI model.
6. Retention and security
We retain support correspondence and technical logs only as long as needed for their purpose, subject to the retention settings of the live hosting and infrastructure providers and any legal or security requirements. The exact log retention period depends on the production configuration.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small online service, including HTTPS on the production site and input limits on the MP3 conversion endpoint. No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You can use the browser-based processing tools without sending your audio to our server. You can decline MP3 conversion consent, clear local browser storage, stop using the website, or contact us with a privacy request.
Depending on the privacy laws that apply to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify a request before responding, and some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
8. Children's privacy
This service is a general-purpose audio utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support correspondence, contact us so we can review the request.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, technology or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
